Occasionally, we also write emails for them, but we’re focused on social.
Mission of the role
Write quality social content that portrays the client as an authority, grows their account and email list, and drives leads for their business.
Outcomes & responsibilities
- Hit weekly deadlines for client work (we’ll start you with a few clients and scale up)
- Generate unique and interesting content angles and ideas (this is a skill in rare supply)
- Write & edit each piece following Tribe Digital’s process
- Write in the client’s voice (aim for as few client edits as possible)
Non-negotiable values
The Tribe Digital team has 3 non-negotiable core values that every team member must embody with their words and actions:
- Relentlessly Reliable
- Hit deadlines. We build trust with clients by always keeping our promises to them. If there are ever impossible deadlines, we communicate it immediately to revise expectations.
- Give & expect radical candor. We communicate concisely, constructively, & honestly. If something isn’t working, we mention it. And we expect teammates to call us out too.
- We do what we say. We are careful making promises because we will deliver on them.
- Initiative Takers
- Proactive action. We think 2 steps ahead so we continue to progress.
- Scrappy. Instead of asking for help for every little thing, we do everything in our power to answer questions and solve problems ourselves first. Then if we’re still stuck, we ask for help.
- Solve problems while small. Every problem gets worse over time. We notice them while they’re small and proactively deal with them.
- Reputation Protectors
- Never post things that could tarnish reputation. We always make our clients look good. We avoid activities that could tarnish their reputation.
- Selective brand associations. We take care tagging other accounts on social because every association affects the client’s personal brand.
- If we use jargon, we use it like a pro. The easiest to ruin reputation is to use jargon poorly. We take care to only use jargon when we know how to use it.
